Poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantaneously to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an amount equal to the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays out cash equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
