Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the west in a great game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that players play with other players. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers winning their money.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, newcomers are able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick choices.

It is also simpler to bet on for an extended time with basically a tiny bit of money since, to lose, each of your hands must be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards faces showing and the dealer gets 7 cards face down.

One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
