Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the west in an excellent game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the casino, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers play with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, starting players do not have to worry about other, more skillful individuals taking their $$$$.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, newcomers are able to take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied choices.
It’s also much simpler to play for a long time with just a small amount of cash seeing as, to lose, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the dealer is dealt 7 cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
