Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in a fantastic game for early level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the house, not like most other poker games that players compete against other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to worry about other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their moolla.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, novices can take their time and plan while not having to make quick decisions.

It’s also easier to enjoy for an extended time with just a small amount of money after all, to lose, both of your hands has to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
