I’ve been wagering poker now for about 5 years, I’ve played cards my entire life beginning with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various styles of Brag and basic random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so beautifully called, card on head casino game. I used to usually win, whatever game we were wagering and although I liked to call it skill, it was really hard to warrant considering the randomness of the games we were betting, so I was pleased to accept I was having a long-term run of good fortune.
Then came Poker, or much more importantly Hold’em Poker, made popular by a group of Texas card gamblers in the sixties and since grown into one of the largest card phenomena ever observed. Poker is absolutely the new black, it can be super cool with many of the world’s leading celebs racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick scan via the TV channels nowadays and you can not escape from poker, and naturally there is the fabled World Series of Poker, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each single player.
So with all of this fresh discovered recognition, with so many Tv shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with high quality material written by the leading minds on poker, when are individuals going to understand that this casino game is all about position!?
Perhaps I should not acquire so worked up about this, after all the more persons who struggle with the subtle techniques and methods necessary for succeeding regularly at Holdem, the much better it really is for everyone else, proper?
